夏季学期 classes are open to current Alfred University students, 一年级新生, transfer students and undergraduate and graduate students from other colleges and universities. Courses at the 100 and 200 level are also open to local, commuting high school juniors and seniors. Courses are offered by the School of Art and Design as well our other four colleges and schools.

Many diverse courses are offered during 夏季学期 from each of our colleges and schools. To see what courses are scheduled, you can do a search in 横幅 which will give you the most up-to-date listing. Courses are added or deleted until just before each of the 夏季学期s begin.

  • Currently enrolled Alfred University full-time and part-time students must register online using 横幅.
  • All other students wishing to take summer courses must complete an online registration form. Click "Non-Matriculated Student 登记" on the upper left side of this page to get to the online form. Several summer courses are being offered online or in an online "hybrid" format. (Hybrid courses are online classes with some required on-campus meeting dates).

Requirements for International Students

经济责任

通过注册课程, a student assumes a legal obligation to pay tuition, 费用 and room and board charges (if applicable). If a balance is not paid by the due date, a hold will be placed on the account, which will prevent further registration, 或者公布成绩单. If the account is submitted to a collection agency, the student will be responsible for all collection costs and legal 费用 incurred.

Alfred University has a paperless electronic billing and 付款 site, hosted by CASHNet. 学生可以登录 横幅Web to access the billing and 付款 site. (New students need to activate their AU email account in order to receive billing notifications.) If you are not the primary payer of your student bill, please log in to give access to the person that needs to see and pay your bill.

For 父母 and Authorized Users - Once you are listed as an Authorized User, you will receive the user name and password needed to access the CASHNet system by the email designated by your student. 金融援助

在大多数情况下, the availability of financial aid for summer school is limited ad not the same as during the academic year. Students should speak with a 金融援助 staff member well in advance of classes regarding their summer aid eligibility. An appointment is usually not necessary. 夏天 campus housing is available for students aged 18 or older. Students who require summer housing should contact the Office of Residence Life at 607-871-2186. This MUST be done at least four (4) weeks prior to your first class. You will be notified of your housing assignment shortly before the start of the summer session you are attending via your AU email account. All campus housing locations are smoke-free areas. Smoking is only allowed 25' from any building on campus. Animals are NOT allowed in any building on campus, including the residence halls.

Rooms are rented for either summer term and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Campus housing facilities are clean and adequate, 但很简朴(没有电话和电视), 没有女佣服务, 没有风扇或空调). Students typically supply their own bed and bath linens, pillows and blankets. However, bed linens are available through an outside contracted linen service. Students who wish to receive this service must contract for it when making arrangements for on-campus housing. The cost for linen service is $16 per week and it includes one pillow, 一个枕套, 一个顶板, one bottom fitted sheet and one blanket. Along with your own personal items, you may want to bring with you dishes, 厨具, 锅碗瓢盆, 灯, fan (the halls are not air conditioned), 废纸篓, 衣架, 电视(如果需要), 等., as these are some of the items not supplied. There is a full kitchen on the main floor of the residence hall for student use. Laundry facilities are available in the residence hall. All housing locations are smoke-free. No pets are allowed (unless assisting the visually impaired).

夏天 students will be housed according to preference and availability. Accommodations are furnished with twin beds (36"x 80"), dressers, desks and chairs.

6-week rate: $1010 - Single Room, Double Room (shared with someone else) $935
4-week rate: $670 - Single Room, Double Room (shared with someone else) $625
Weekly rate: $210 - Single Room, Double Room (shared with someone else) $195

*Linen is NOT included but can be requested at a rate of $25 for the summer.

Animals are not allowed in any University building unless trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. Documentation is required; please contact the Office of Residence Life for more information (607-871-2186)

餐厅

While no meal plan is available during 夏季学期 I, most summer students are housed in a residence hall that has full kitchen facilities so they can prepare their own food if they wish to. 膳食也可在 餐厅 在阿尔弗雷德村.

The dining hall will be open during most of 夏季学期 II and there may be a limited meal plan available for students residing on campus. (夏季学期 II students interested in the meal plan should contact the Residence Life Office at 607-871-2186 for further details.)
